Caring for your beach jewellery

We pride ourselves on creating high-quality handmade jewellery designed to last and withstand your beach days. To keep your beach jewellery and delicate necklaces looking their best, please follow our care instructions.

· Although our beach jewellery is water-friendly, please avoid contact with swimming pools, spas, and saunas.
· Keep your handmade jewellery away from moisturisers, detergents, soaps, perfumes, and makeup, as these can damage the metals.
· Sterling silver may oxidise over time with wear and exposure. Gently clean with the polishing cloth provided to restore its shine.
· After wearing your jewellery in the ocean, rinse with fresh water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
· Store your delicate necklace and other pieces in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
· As delicate jewellery can break under pressure, we recommend removing your pieces during exercise or vigorous activities.

Sterling Silver (925)
Our sterling silver pieces are crafted from the highest quality 925 solid silver—meaning they contain at least 92.5% pure silver. Because pure silver is naturally soft, we blend it with a 7.5% alloy for added strength and durability. This ensures your handmade jewellery stays beautiful through everyday wear.

14k / 18k Gold Vermeil
Gold Vermeil is a premium gold plating method where a thick layer of 14k or 18k gold (at least 2.5 microns) is bonded to sterling silver. It offers the luxury of gold with greater longevity than standard gold plating. We use 14k and 18k for their beautiful balance of durability and a soft, elegant tone (less orange than 24k).

Stainless Steel (316L)
Some of our jewellery is crafted using the highest-grade stainless steel (316L). This metal is waterproof, hypoallergenic, tarnish-resistant, and won’t turn your skin green. It’s a perfect option for beach jewellery and for those with sensitive skin.

18k Gold PVD Coating
PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) is a vacuum coating process that bonds a durable layer of 18k gold to a stainless steel base. This technique results in an incredibly long-lasting finish—often lasting 10 to 100 years with proper care. It’s ideal for creating jewellery that endures both style and time.

At Beach Haven Jewellery, we pride ourselves on crafting handmade jewellery to the highest standard. Each piece of beach jewellery is carefully checked through our quality control process—but in the rare case of a fault (because perfection is impossible!), we honour our warranty with good faith.

All jewellery purchased from our online store includes a 2-month warranty from the date of purchase. This covers manufacturing faults or defects.
Please note: This does not cover accidental damage, breakage, or general wear and tear, such as fading, scratches, or oxidisation.

Under Australian Consumer Law, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the issue is not considered a major failure, you are entitled to have the item repaired or replaced.
