Caring for your jewellery

We pride ourselves on creating high quality jewellery made to last and withstand your beach days. To ensure that your jewellery is cared for correctly, please follow our care instructions. 

·  Although water friendly, avoid contact with swimming pools, spas and saunas.

·  Avoid contact with moisturisers, detergents, soaps, perfumes, make up etc. as this can damage the metals. 

·  Sterling Silver can oxidise with wear & exposure. Cleaning/polishing with the cloth provided (gently) every now and then will help maintain it's shine.

·  After wearing your jewellery in the ocean, rinse with fresh water and pat dry.

·  We suggest that you store your jewellery in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. 

·  As delicate jewellery can break, we recommend taking your jewellery off during any exercise or vigorous activities. 

Sterling Silver:

Crafted from the finest solid sterling silver (925), our pieces are of the utmost quality. The '925' mark signifies that they contain a minimum of 92.5% pure silver. However, pure silver is delicate and can be prone to damage. To enhance durability, we incorporate a 7.5% alloy composition. This ensures that our silver pieces maintain their superior quality and withstand daily use.

14k/18k Gold Vermeil: 

14k/18k Gold Vermeil is an exceptional form of gold plating, crafted from a substantial layer of gold (a minimum of 2.5 microns) on sterling silver. It surpasses standard gold plating in terms of quality. Our choice of 14k & 18k gold over pure gold (24k gold) ensures durability and a less orange hue.

Stainless steel

Some of our products use the highest quality Stainless Steel (316L) which is waterproof & hypoallergenic, does not tarnish easily, scratch or turn skin green. It is a great option for sensitive skin. 

18k Gold PVD

PVD stands for Physical Vapour Deposition, and is a vacuum coating process of gold that produces a brilliant decorative and functional finish to the base metal (in our case we use Stainless Steel under our PVD). PVD utilizes a titanium nitride that provides an extremely durable coating. This type of plating is so durable that the colour and look of the jewellery can last anywhere from 10-100 years depending how well it is looked after (follow our above tips for best results)

We pride ourselves with crafting jewellery of the highest quality it can be. Our quality control is thorough for each hand-crafted piece. If a rare fault is identified, (perfection is impossible!) our warranty is made with good faith.

All jewellery purchased from our online store comes with a 2- month warranty from the date of purchase. This covers manufacturing faults and defects. This does not cover accidental breakage or general wear and tear such as faded, scratched or oxidised jewellery. To ensure that you are taking the best care of your jewellery, please read our jewellery care guide above for more information.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to Have the goods repaired if they fail to be a acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure.

If you have a faulty item please contact us at hello@beachhavenjewellery.com.au and include your full name and order number. Please also include a description and photo of the faulty jewellery. Faulty items can only be replaced with the same item, not exchanged for another product.
